Rash guards are a great source of sun protection for special needs children.
Protecting your child’s skin from the harmful rays of the sun is important. When you have a child with autism, it can sometimes be difficult to properly protect them with sunblock. Some are hyper sensitive and do not like certain textures (like that of sunblock), or to be touched too frequently (as you might need to when reapplying sunblock). If you have a child you want to keep safe this summer, consider investing in a rash guard.

The sun shirts fit snugly against the body, which creates a more secure and cozy feel for your child. It keeps sand and dirt from rubbing against the skin, which can make beach time more enjoyable.
We recommend talking to your child about the sun shirt and letting them pick what they want. The shirt can be worn in and out of the water, therefore your child will be comfortable and protected from the sun at all times.
